I caught on the radio news today that Portland is one of the cities being considered for the relocation of the Expos MLB franchisee. Of course the plan calls for the taxpayers to foot a portion of the bill. I thought I left this kind of crap behind in Milwaukee where we paid to build a new stadium (cost overruns in all) for a substandard team than many residents could care less about.
