We just got back from seeing Bubba Ho-Tep at Portland’s Cinema 21. It was a very funny horror-comedy that also deals with the issue of growing old in our society. While we were waiting to get in I snapped this picture of the marquee.

It is a shame this film didn’t get a wider distribution.

You never realize how much stuff you have until you move. I’ve spent the entire day packing and I probably have only packed about half our stuff. We were spoiled by our last move since my employer hired a crew to both pack and move our stuff for us.

Oh well back to packing!

I just got back from seeing Underworld and I must say I was very impressed. I had some misgivings going to see this film since the reviews have been mixed and I’m not a fan of the vampire genre since most works tend to have the same set of tired cliches.

Verizon should be moving my voice and DSL service to my new address tonight. When I called earlier in the week to get this done they were non-committal about exactly when my DSL service would be working at my new house - they told me it would be between tonight and next Monday.

Since I host this site off of a server in my house it will be down for a few days until I get moved and get my Internet connectivity straightened out. I really should get my ass in gear and start packing!

Heather likes to tease me about my television viewing habits. Recently I have taken to watching Food Network because I think Rachael Ray is cute. Apparently I am not the only one who thinks so.

I find it interesting to occasionally look through my weblogs and see what brings people to my site. My recent entry about fainting at Chuck Palahniuk’s reading of Guts has brought 500+ people. This surpasses the several hundred people who end up here each month looking for Whore of the Rings.
