Worksick

When I woke up this morning I had a feeling I wouldn’t be going anywhere again. The roads are still to icy for my little Miata to make across town to work safely. I am actually to the point where I am starting to get worksick. Unfortunately the current weather forecast isn’t promising:

GREATER PORTLAND METRO AREA-GREATER VANCOUVER AREA- INCLUDING THE CITIES OF…BATTLE GROUND…DOWNTOWN PORTLAND… DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER…HILLSBORO AND OREGON CITY 1045 AM PST THU JAN 8 2004 …A WINTER STORM WARNING CONTINUES THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT FOR THE PORTLAND AND VANCOUVER AREAS… OCASSIONAL FREEZING RAIN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY IN AREAS CLOSE TO THE COLUMBIA GORGE AS STRONG EASTERLY FLOW THROUGH THE GORGE KEEPS TEMPERATURES BELOW FREEZING…

DRIVERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR ICE AND SNOW ON ROADWAYS…CAUSING EXTREMELY DIFFICULT WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS. TRAVEL IS STRONGLY DISCOURAGED TODAY.

At least it looks like the snow and ice are finally starting to melt.

  1. It’s crazy how the whole rest of the state and the northwest can be thawing, but we’ve got ourselves this little pocket of the Arctic parked over the Portland Metropolitan Area. Out here in Greshtroutfairwood Town, we’ve got still ice 3 inches thick, and more on the way.

  2. I had to drive through quite the blizzard when I ewas coming back from Greenbay on Sunday, clearly life threatning. Was especially enjoyable when everyone is dead tired.

Hopefully you will be able t start worknig those 100+ hour work weeks or whatever the grind is G funk all star. Glad to see the blogs gettnig updated again BTW.
