After several years of neglect I finally took the time and washed my car last weekend. I own a convertible (a Mazda Miata) so it isn’t really convenient to take it through a car wash. Like any chore you don’t want to do this is something I have procrastinated for quite some time. In fact I can’t honestly recall the last time I washed my car but I know it was still when I was a resident of Wisconsin which was almost two years ago. Now that it is washed my car no longer has that dingy deep grey tint and once again is white. I seriously need to procrastinate less.

Mapquest finally has our street listed in its database. I feel almost as excited as Navin R. Johnson did when the “new” phone books arrived. In all seriousness I’m happy that I won’t need to explain that my address does in fact exist next time I have something delivered.

Apparently Jonah thinks this picture was better than this one. I think it makes me look fat headed. Regardless his point about time going by fast is valid. It is hard to believe that I have known him for almost ten years. Since he lives on the other side of the planet (Japan) it makes seeing him kind of difficult but hopefully I’ll get a chance to see him and his wife Tomomi again soon.

I guess I was wrong about not wearing a silly hat.

Today marks my twenty-sixth year on the planet. This year I am hoping to avoid wearing any silly hats.

I posted all of the pictures I took last Sunday while visiting the Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection. The collection is an outdoor museum that is open to the public free of charge. We happened across it while returning from our vacation in Seattle. After visiting I am definitely interested in learning more about bonsai and perhaps getting involved in the hobby.
The gallery can be viewed here.
