Kill Bill Vol. 2
April 17th, 2004
Heather and I went to see the second half of Kill Bill tonight.

It was definitely worth the wait. This time around the pacing was a bit slower but it provided opportunity to flesh out the characters and their motivations. David Carradine’s performance as Bill was fantastic. As a whole I still believe that this is Quentin Tarantino’s best work.
I’m planning on seeing the Punisher tomorrow. While it is based upon a character I like my expectations for the film are considerably lower. Hopefully I’ll be surprised.
Vol. 2 was just great. It had a lot more little character touches that gave the story a bit more depth than was presented in Vol. 1 (for example: whodathunk Budd would end up so sympathetic?).
I still think I liked Vol. 1 just a tad more, but I like the film as a whole very much.
