Rolling your own PDF files revisited

A while ago I had written about how to roll your own PDF files without the need for Acrobat. I recently came across PDFCreator which comes with a simple install and provides a much more polished user interface. It is more convenient than trying to setup GhostScript and RedMon manually and is easier to use.

Thanks - this post was extremely timely for me - satisfying a need I developed just this morning!

Have you tried http://software995.com/ — I like their suite a lot!

    Hi Alan,

I had looked at pdf995 in the past but wasn’t thrilled with the sponsor advertisements included in the “free” version. The pay versions of their products do more than my simple needs require so in the end I decided to pass altogether. PDFCreator is free, simple, and elegant. If I needed something more full featured I’d just go pick up Acrobat.
