About time!

Comments

purgatory

I am still delayed. At this point I have spent more time waiting at airports then actually in the air. Right now I am looking at least another hour delay and then I may finally be on my way.

Granted it just started to snow - fuck!

stranded

Missed my connecting flight. Stuck in Chicago for a while.

delays

Sometimes it seems life wants you to slow down. I’m trying to get to Milwaukee today but so far my plane is delayed due to weather in Chicago. At this rate I’ll probably miss my connecting flight so who knows when I’ll get there.

At least they have free WiFi in the Portland airport.

decorations

This afternoon we finally got around to disposing of our Halloween pumpkins and dug out our holiday decorations. After untangling the ball of lights left over from last year I found the majority of them no longer worked. I vaguely remember having the exact same problem then as well. Either I buy really cheap lights or I suck at storing them. Fortunately, strands of lights are relatively inexpensive so after a quick trip to the store we could finish decorating. We might hang some more lights during the week but so far I’m pleased with how it turned out.

black Friday

Instead of spending money we don’t have on crap we don’t need we instead elected to forgo the mindless consumerism of black Friday altogether. I am still recovering from yesterday’s food coma.

unproductive

Chris told me to take the week off of work so I have been working hard to enjoy mostly unproductive persuits. I picked up MGS3 over the weekend and had a blast playing it. It refined the gameplay from MGS2 and had an interesting story without quite as many twists and turns. While it cleared up some things it still left quite a few plot threads dangling if (when) Konami decides to make a sequal. Tonight Heather and I are finally going to go see The Yes Men down at the Mission Theater in Portland.
