SiteBar
January 30th, 2005
Since I use a number of different computers on a daily basis I’ve been wanting a decent solution to keep bookmarks in sync between the various platforms & browsers I use. A few weeks ago I came across SiteBar which is a server-side bookmark manager that can run in the sidebar of your browser of choice. The install was simple and after only a few minutes I had it up and running. After using it for a few weeks I have to say it rocks.
I setup a copy of it here on spendy.org.
Now if I could only figure out how to integrate it with safari or camino I’d be happy
Hi Jon,
did u find a solution to integrate sitebar into safari ?
I got the same problem/requirement and still not found a solution..
Thanks for your answer..
Cheers,
Marc
Hey Marc,
No I haven’t found a solution to integrate Safari with sitebar but I did find a work-arround that is almost as good. I simply bookmarked the sitebar pop-up bookmarklet listed on the Integrator page ->
http://spendy.org/sitebar/integrator.php?lang=en_US
This opens a new browser window similar in size to the sidebar. Expose makes it easy enough to jump between Safari windows so usability hasn’t been a problem for me.
Let me know if you come across a better solution.
In new versions WP bookmark manager included.
