things to do in Portland

I love living in Portland because there is never a lack of something interesting to do / see. Last night Heather and I caught the “Suicide Saturday” burlesque show at Devils Point in SE Portland. It featured performances by a few of the SuicideGirls, including the lovely Stormy. Devils Point was clean, couples friendly, and didn’t have a cover / drink minimum.

Hey Jon, how’ve you been? Living in a big city with cool things to do is great. When I lived in Osaka and Nagoya in Japan there was never a shortage of things to do and it was awesome. Now I live out in the middle of nowhere in Hokkaido in a tiny little town, but at least I can save some money. Portland sounds so cool, I’m really looking forward to getting out there to visit you guys sometime.
Oh, funny story. I never head of the Suicide Girls before, so I clicked your link to their site. I originally thought it might have something to do with Suicide Club, a really interesting Japanese movie. The site looks awesome, except I’m at work and right when their front page of scantily clad women showed up a few co-workers came over to my desk to ask me a question and saw the page. I had some fun explaining to do.

I’ve been good. It is a shame you didn’t get a chance to visit back in December when you were stateside. Anyway hopefully we can see you this summer if you make it back to the us.
