Unfortunately it looks like HBO has decided to pull the plug on Carnivale.

Bastards! It seems every time I get interested in a show it gets canceled - first Dead Like Me and now this.

The season 2 finale left a number of plot threads dangling: Is Sofie evil? Is she pregnant? Whats the deal with the whole CoL and CoD thing? How do the Knights Templar fit in? Was Brother Justin healed at the end? What was the deal with Lodz? How does this all fit into the visions Ben had of the atomic blast? So many questions and unfortunately no answers to come.

For what it is worth there is a fan effort underway to save the series.

I caught a matinee of Mr. & Mrs. Smith this afternoon.

The film was enjoyable but pretty unremarkable. Essentially it is a less intelligent / humorous version of True Lies with a more beautiful cast.
