The manager of my local Game Crazy called tonight to let me know they already were restocked with Wii consoles!

Since my plans to pick one up on launch day fell through this was welcome news. I am now the happy owner of a Wii As an added bonus I was able to trade in my Cube for an extra 50% towards the price of the Wii. So far the Wii is awesome. Wii Sports is a ton of fun - I actually bowl better on the Wii then I do in real life. I also picked up a copy of Zelda and Monkey Ball; however, I haven’t had time to play them yet.

I returned home from my local Target empty handed - they had 132 Wii consoles to sell and I ended up two people away from the coupon cutoff point. I did have fun shooting the shit with some fellow Nintendo fans in line and also saw Erin & Nate. Unfortunately it seems like everywhere is sold out this morning (go Nintendo!) since a bunch of shitheads bought them up to sell on eBay. Unless I happen to find somewhere people overlooked it seems I’ll be waiting a few weeks to get my Wii when the stores are restocked.

I decided against pre-ordering a Nintendo Wii and instead will take my chances on finding one retail on launch day. Since my local game shop couldn’t guarantee I would get one even with a pre-order I didn’t see the point. According to the Wiiseeker site my odds look pretty good - the local Target is expected to receive 135 systems so hopefully I’ll come home with one

Thank you for calling me today (and every day this week) to let me know about the “exciting new” FiOS Internet service. You may recall installing it at my home back in February. While I do appreciate the persistence on your part to sell me a service I already subscribe to it would be nice if your CSR’s would remove me from your database or at least cross reference your current subscriber database. I really like the service - just quit pestering the shit out of me
