Missing out on getting a Wii on launch day, not following through on all of my resolutions for 2006.

The Wii would be a close second.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My wonderful wife Heather who has helped and supported me on my journey through the unknowns of parenthood.

No one person specifically. In general the erosion of our civil liberties in the name of fighting a straw man is rather appalling.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Buying things for Aria.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Lots of things – but it was hard to top becoming a Dad.
16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2005?
Right Where It Belongs from the album “With Teeth” by Nine Inch Nails

i. happier or sadder? happier
ii. thinner or fatter? fatter

29. What did you want and not get?
I was fortunate enough not to want for anything.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
With the baby we didn’t get to see to many films this year. I would have to say Clerks II would rank as my favorite for the year.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Twenty-eight. I wore a balloon crown as is our yearly tradition. Things were subdued this year as we were both waiting for Aria to make her grand entrance (she was overdue at this point).

Nothing jumps to mind – 2006 was a very satisfying year in all respects.

Essentially the same as 2005. My wardrobe probably is long overdue for an update.
34. What kept you sane?
Not taking life to seriously.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I still dig Kate – I just wish she would return to her FTP figure. Billie Piper was nice on the eyes as well.

Electronic voting reform. Fortunately I live in a state where my vote actually stood a chance of counting for something (we vote by mail).
37. Who did you miss?
38. Who was the best new person you met?

Hold on tight to your baby.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:

to what you were
the rules have changed
the lines begin to blur
